Gender: Male

Age: 25

Sun Sign: Aquarius

Chinese Sign: Water Dog

Location: Pasadena, MD United States

About Me:

I'm training to be a pro track cyclist and compete for the Philippines where a vegan athlete could probably influence lots of people to go vegan since poor citizens think meat is good for you…they save the little money they have to pay for expensive meat….not realizing that they'd be better served by saving that money for something else and taking advantage of the wonderful cheap veggies available to them.
Before I started cycling I was an All-American athlete in HS.   I weighted anywhere from 270-320 being heavy in the preseason.   My squat max was 550lbs, my bench was 340.   Then I went vegan nearly as soon as I got to college.   I wasn't lifting hard so I didn't get stronger since thats the wrong time to do it.   Anyway I got injured but lifted fairly hard in the summer to get strong before I went into surgery(on my hand).   I wasn't training that hard and my maxes jumped…my bench was 370, squat was 600 and my clean and jerk was 310.   I stopped throwing due to a reoccuring shoulder injury I recieved when I was 14.
Anyhow I'm trying to utilize my abilities on a bike.   I started cycling in Oct. 05' at 285lbs and got down to 200 by Aug. 06'.   I was stuck there for a long time and I'm finally steady around 190…hoping to drop at least 5 more before the racing season.  In my first 12 months of cycling I rode 14,000 miles(which includes a month off due to bronchitus thanks to dirty glass blowers).   In the future I plan on running a dog rescue(greyhounds and vegan of course) and a vegan art camp for kids since the younger the vegan the less likely they are to have vegan friends…it'll be nice to show them they aren't the only ones.
At the moment I'm back with my parents in Maryland to save money and focus on my future in cycling.   I'm also working in my ceramics studio and considering enrolling on graduate school for my Masters in Fine Arts in the next year or two.
